This Elwood home was a number of years in the planning.  The owner was very particular in his choice of stone and visited the yard regularly to talk through his project and discuss ideas.  

His final choice was to use Cream Diamond Cut Stone.  To relieve the horizontal coursed lines, a mixed pattern was adopted.  Particular attention was paid to matching the mortar colour to the stone to eliminate a heavy patterned appearance.  

Built from boundary to boundary to maximise the space of this home on a small allotment, the subtle shapes of the random pattern work well to compliment it's contemporary design.
